Vimal brings to Watts Capital an exceptional track record, having risen through the ranks of the wealth management unit at American Express (now TD Ameritrade), where he led more than 200 financial advisory practices through constant improvement in complicated areas such as written quality of advice and advance risk management. He earned multiple recognitions at American Express including for exceptional leadership in change management, thought process, quality of advice and delivering outstanding business results.
Vimal has a track record of building entrepreneurial ventures, including Global Desi Holdings, a television and media company serving the South Asian community and the culturally open in the US. He put together an Emmy winning team with over a hundred years of experience at the best American television networks, raised capital investments to a rare level for a niche network and led the company through a transaction valued at $45 MM.
Vimal earned his Bachelor's degree in English and Economics in First Division from the prestigious Delhi University. Vimal also earned the CFP® designation in 1995 and qualified various industry licenses including General Securities and Managing Principal.
Vimal devotes his free time to his family and to his passion for cricket. He founded the first professional cricket league in the United States, ProCricket America, plays semi-professionally in the league and is the Captain of the team.
